A global movement
The global Wellbeing Economy Alliance (WEAll) is the leading collaboration of organisations, alliances, movements and individuals working towards a Wellbeing Economy, delivering human and ecological wellbeing. Born in 2018, it is gaining traction and Aotearoa is one of 19 countries that form part of the international Wellbeing Economy Alliance (WEAll).
New Zealand is also one of the three founding members of the Wellbeing Economy Governments Partnership (WEGo), which is now composed of six governments (Iceland, Scotland, Finland, Wales, Canada and New Zealand).
WEAll global ambassadors include Kate Raworth, author of Doughnut Economics; Wales’ first Future Generations Commissioner Sophie Howe; Tim Jackson, Director of the Centre for the Understanding of Sustainable Prosperity and Jason Hickel, author of Less is More: How Degrowth Will Save the World.
WEAll Aotearoa was established as a non-partisan charitable organisation in 2020 with a committed Board and Country Lead Gareth Hughes. We work with community organisations, iwi, central and local government, politicians, businesses, and academics to collectively reshape our economy in a way that uplifts the mana of all New Zealanders.
We shared the story of our formation and evolution of our organisation as part of WEAll's Local to Global webinar series in 2023.
Our accessibility journey is ongoing, and we are committed to adapting our approach to make our website, services, environments and offerings as accessible as possible.
We understand that we won’t always get everything right, and we appreciate and will consider any feedback that we receive. For any accessibility related feedback, you can e-mail sally@weall.org.nz. We’re also very happy to provide any of the information from our site in email format.
